Jervis Bay
Place: Jervis Bay
Where: New South Wales
There’s something truly special about Jervis Bay on the NSW south coast, and after a busy few weeks at work, I decided to take a few days off and venture south while the weather gods were smiling.
I’ve been to the area plenty of times over the years but this was the first time I’ve done the White Sands Walk, which takes you from Vincentia to Hyams Beach – a return trip of about 10km all up.
On the walk, you pass plenty of amazing beaches – Greenfields, Blenheim, Chinamans and ending up at the famous Hyams Beach.
In the morning, there was an incredible golden sunrise (complete with a guy and girl apparently doing an Instagram photo shoot on the beach) and it was a good chance to get the drone up for the first time in a long time.
During the day, a drive through the Booderee National Park to Murrays Beach and Cave Beach, which is one of my favourite places down there despite the killer walk back up the hill on a warm day.
At Cave Beach, the experience was complete – a huge pod of dolphins swimming around beyond the breakers.
